Tahir FirasahA city is the site of public affairs and the flow of trade. This dream marks the engagement of the individual with the broader social order and the collective structures of life. It is a dream of worldly involvement rather than private retreat.
The symbol stands for the way a person navigates the systems of exchange and influence. An expansion of these social ties brings a widening of the person’s reach. The city is the ground where the individual’s standing is tested by the currents of the multitude.
An abandoned city shows where the pulse of exchange has died and influence has faded. This state shows that the old ways of commerce have lost their vitality.
A flooded city indicates that the structures of public life are overwhelmed by an uncontrollable force. Such a state suggests that the foundations of one’s social standing are currently unstable.
To find oneself getting lost in a city points to a deepening confusion regarding one’s place in the world. The social paths that once seemed clear now lead to a loss of direction.
A city on fire warns of a sudden calamity within the sphere of one’s worldly dealings. This trial consumes the existing order to make way for something else.
Moving to a new city signifies a transition into a different mode of social existence. This change brings a fresh start in how the person conducts their affairs.
The dream of flying over a city lifts the gaze above the weight of the crowd. This perspective offers a wider view of how the mechanisms of the community operate.

They were going to see a movie in a huge cinema and I was curious to see how big the cinema was, but I decided to go all the way to the top of the building and see the whole city at night. I got in a large white elevator and went to the top and took pictures. I remember feeling free and like I was waiting for that moment to happen for a long time. I lifted my arms and twirled around.
