A sport celebrity who is not known to me asks me to bury his dead dog for him. I am cleaning dog poop outside, so I feel it’s part of my job description. A day later, we realize that I’ve forgotten to bury him. He gets angry at me but then apologizes because it’s not my responsibility. He pulls at the dogs leg, who now whimpers and I realize he’s still alive. In horror, I ask if he knew he was alive still and he says yes. I leave the scene feeling glad I didn’t bury him.
