I dreamt I was at a family event and while everyone was mingling, there was a large horned black & white cow aggressively playing with a blue heeler dog. A human male was instigating the “play” fight. The cow and the dog were slamming into each other, all the while the event was oblivious to the happening. I’m not sure what diverted everyone’s attention; maybe quiet? But when we all looked toward the area of the fight, the dog had been beheaded. His owner was distraught and I woke up.
