I was cleaning a red room in someone’s house, on my knees, scrubbing a brown carpet with a scrub brush. I moved an antique gold couch and found five foreign silver coins. I also found used plastic cups and other bits of trash. There was a white porcelain sink in the room, some wooden straight back chairs, and a baby grand piano. The carpet was littered with confetti and cat hair. Whatever I found when I was cleaning, I put in a small glass jar.
