Tahir FirasahKilling a fish is understood as the seizure of a hidden resource. This act follows from the nature of what is caught, where the end of life marks the capture of what is latent. The dream does not portend a loss of fortune, but rather the active appropriation of what is found.
The movement of the hand upon the life of the creature settles the meaning upon the readiness to use what is provided. A successful claim of this resource brings a steadying of one’s standing. The fish becomes a fortune made real by the hand.
A big fish in the dream increases the scale of the resource being claimed. The magnitude of the creature turns the verdict toward a more significant acquisition of means.
