This morning I woke up nearly screaming or crying. I had found a dead crow that had fallen from an unhatched egg. The egg had fallen in a location near me. The shell was cracked, and inside was a baby crow. I wondered if I could *fix* it. I’ve helped real birds in need before and successfully rehomed them to live a loving life, domesticated, and also returned them to the wild. It pained me a lot to see a baby that hadn’t hatched, and I could not resuscitate it. I remember I was moving toward the shell to see if it was moving, if I could help the suffering bird, if it was still breathing, but then I woke up.
I have had surreal experiences bordering on the “unbelievable” with crows. They have bombed me in areas where men are attacking me brutally. It was nightmarish, as there were literally a dozen. They have bombed me in situations where I’m doing things that are not good for me, and it was very different from protecting the nest.
