Tahir FirasahCapturing a snake is understood as the act of subduing a hidden enmity. The root of the name implies a winding or deceptive motion, which this dream settles by bringing that motion to a halt. This dream is read as the successful containment of a threat, rather than the avoidance of it.
The mastery over a malice is found when the grip is placed behind the skull. A person finds that a threat is met with a strength that prevents the strike. The danger is neutralized by the very hand that encounters it.
A venomous snake adds the weight of immediate lethality to the dream. The danger is felt as a strike that can wound the very foundation of a life.
A black snake brings the quality of darkness to the encounter. This shade marks the treachery as something hidden in the shadows.
Grabbing a snake by the head or holding a snake by the head signifies a total command over the source of the trouble. This specific placement ensures that the capacity for harm is removed.
A big snake increases the scale of the deception. The enmity being managed is of a significant or heavy nature.
Someone catching a snake indicates that the resolution of the enmity comes from an external source. The containment of the threat is an act performed by another.
Handling snakes or catching snakes shifts the focus to a broader field of opposition. The dream then concerns the management of multiple or surrounding plots.
