Tahir FirasahCutting a banana tree signifies a sharp severance from a source of sustenance or the end of a sweet season. The name of the plant suggests a sweetness of life, but the act of cutting breaks the connection to that abundance. This dream is read as a disruption of the household economy or a loss of familial support. It does not signify a natural decline, but rather a sharp and decisive interruption.
The loss of a connection to an established provider is the weight of this dream. A cutting action removes the possibility of future growth from the severed part. A sweet reward remains present in the memory of what was once held. The severed tree marks the end of an era of ease.
