Tahir FirasahEating nails signifies a forced or unnatural intake of the very things that provide stability and protection. The act of consuming these fastenings suggests a period where the means of defense are being turned into a source of internal burden. This dream shows the tools of holding being used as a source of harm.
The ingestion of these metal objects indicates a corruption of the foundation upon which a person stands. A dream of eating nails marks a state where the elements of security become obstacles to the well-being of the dreamer. The hardness of the symbol serves to illustrate a lack of nourishment in matters of standing or labor. A broken defense is what remains when the capacity for stability is consumed.
Eating fingernails shifts the meaning toward the misuse of personal influence. Because these are parts of the body, the dream suggests that the power one holds is being taken in a way that serves no external purpose.
Swallowing nails intensifies the weight of the dream. This action points to a dream where the very essence of what holds a life together is being swallowed and lost to the interior.
