Tahir FirasahGetting a tattoo signifies the fixing of an identity that will not change. This dream signifies that a character is fixed and a choice is made that stays. It is not a fleeting whim or a change that fades.
The act of getting a tattoo settles the soul into a chosen shape. This process is the acceptance of a definitive imprint upon the self. A mark is made that stays.
A dream of getting lots of tattoos or getting multiple tattoos points to an identity that is being built through many different layers. The sheer number of marks suggests a life defined by many separate and permanent bonds.
When the dream involves getting bad tattoos or getting unwanted tattoos, the meaning shifts toward a weight that does not lift. An imprint that is rejected or ill-suited becomes a permanent grievance of the spirit. The weight of an unintended imprint remains.
A hand tattoo adds the element of deed and strength to the marking of the self. This detail suggests that the permanent identity is tied to what is done or how help is offered. The mark resides where the power to act is held.
