I had a nightmare. It revealed that the guilt of the massacre I thought I committed years ago wasn’t real, just a past dream I believed was true. In this dream, I was at a shipping yard, and it was raining heavily during my escape. I remembered betraying and killing Larry, my best friend there who taught me everything. I also killed countless others. it was a labour camp. During my escape, everyone seemed to be chasing me, and I felt like I was fighting for my life. I left at night. To make my escape easier, I suffocated some of my closest friends in the rooms next to mine while they slept. It felt like something I had to do. I had a gun, somehow. I shot Larry in the final moments, hoping I wouldn’t have to. There was also a young woman in a red raincoat. I didn’t trust her because of her lanyard, thinking she was one of them. She called out to me, which annoyed me and slowed down my escape. Shooting her felt like getting loose from a trap.
