Tahir FirasahPlaying baseball is understood as a sign of organized contest and human effort. This dream does not signal a solitary struggle, but rather a participation in a structured game of skill and social rules. The energy of the dream is directed toward a specific aim through the application of discipline.
The effort in this dream is measured by how the participant meets the demands of the field. A missed chance is recorded when the timing of the strike fails to meet the motion of the play. A gain is found when the contact made with the object advances the position of the player. The dream marks the distinction between successful engagement and the loss of an opening.
Catching a baseball adds the necessity of reception and readiness. The meaning of the dream moves from the exertion of the strike to the vigilance required to secure what is sent.
Pitching a baseball shifts the focus to the initiation of the struggle. The responsibility of the dream rests on the power to set the pace and command the start of the contest.
