Driving down a well maintained highway, without warning, the hwy stops in both directions at the same place over a flowing river. I got out of my vehicle and walked out to where wood slats secured the highway’s end over the river. I was aware of the slight sway of the unfinished road/bridge & see & hear the swiftness of the river. Wasn’t afraid but wondered when the bridge would be completed as there were no workers or road equipment around. A few others had walked out to observe too.
