Tahir FirasahAn elevator going up is read as a shift in social or professional standing. The motion of the ascent signifies a movement toward a higher vantage. This dream concerns the actual height of a person’s place in the world rather than a shift in feeling.
The upward trajectory indicates an increase in influence or reach. This elevation provides a clearer view of the surroundings. The dream marks a period where the foundations of a position are being raised.
A lift going up denotes a constant rise in one’s position. This ascent brings a slow widening of power.
An elevator going up fast suggests a sudden and rapid transition in rank. Such haste in the dream indicates that the change in status arrives without the usual period of preparation.
For its more general meaning: Dream about an elevator
I dreamt I went to look at my new apartment and to see what it was like. When I got into the elevator the elevator went up so fast that I was almost stuck to the floor and I felt my heart racing. However when I went back down it still went fast but not as fast as it went up meaning I jumped a little when it went down but I thought I would feel my heart racing like when it went up. It was also a shorter and faster ride up than down. The only other time I felt like that was when I was flying.
